Wipers stuck vertical. Found the linkage pivot arm had seized solid with corrosion. Dismantled, cleaned with penetrating oil, greased all pivot points and reassembled. Wipers park correctly now. Grease the linkage pivots every couple of years to prevent this.

✅ FixedWiper motor park switch failed
Wipers stopped in the middle of the screen when turned off. Classic park switch failure inside the wiper motor. Dismantled the motor and replaced the park switch contacts — they were burnt. Wiper motor itself was fine. Part cost £8, couple of hours fiddly work.
