BMW F10 5 Series B47 Diesel High Pressure Fuel Pump Failure
The high pressure fuel pump on B47-engined F10 520d/525d can fail, causing extended cranking before start, rough running under load and fault codes P0087/P1093. The pump is driven from the camshaft. Check fuel filter and fuel rail pressure before condemning the pump. Replacement costs £350-700 at an independent BMW specialist.
