Hyundai Ioniq 5 vehicle to load V2L fault
The Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) function stops working, refusing to power external devices. The V2L system automatically disables when the battery drops below 20% charge. It also requires the vehicle to be in the Ready state, not just locked. Some early firmware versions had a bug causing V2L to fail at higher battery levels. A software update from Hyundai resolves the firmware issue. The V2L outlet also requires a specific Hyundai V2L adapter — third-party adapters are not guaranteed to work.
